John Henry's is a Southern-inspired steakhouse at 520 E. Fifth St. that has taken over the former Blue Moon space. Owned by the same team that owns and operates The Trolley Stop, John Henry's is named after the proprietors" late father, John Henry Sassenberg.
- Jimmy Modern sells handmade 20th century modern furniture, art and decorations at 605 E. Fifth St. Owner Jimmy Kitz has designed and built everything from expensive furnishings to more affordable pieces for the younger apartment-dwelling set.
- Clearwire/G2 Digital Solutions at 504 E. Fifth St. is a complete technology provider. Owner and CEO Vincent Cowie has experience providing major technology services to government agencies as well as residential home Internet and phone services.
- Hollywood Handbags sells handbags, wallets and even luggage at 508 E. Fifth St. Shop owner LaDonna Stinson offers bags based on designer styles at affordable prices.
- Inn Port D'Vino is the newest bed & breakfast in the Oregon District with a "wine destination" theme. At 22 Brown St., owners Jeff and Leslie Gonya rooms evoking such varietals as champagne and port and can accommodate up to four guests.
"These businesses bring an eclectic array of services to the district," said Sandy Gudorf, president of the Downtown Dayton Partnership. "The Oregon District is already a thriving neighborhood, and continuing to attract a diverse group of businesses only enhances the district's health and vibrancy."
