Bogus callers still doing the rounds - police.

BALLYMENA householders are being urged to be on their guard following reports that bogus callers are doing the rounds of doorsteps in the borough.

Police are appealing to members of the public to be vigilant and adhere to the following advice in relation to bogus callers.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Bogus callers depend on the good nature and good will of others, and will arrive with a very plausible story, so don't be fooled.

"Always keep unexpected callers outside on the doorstep and never let strangers into your home."
