Nurses condemn aged care crisis management
The Australian Nursing Federation has warned that nursing home proprietors are not
accountable for billions of dollars provided by the federal government.
The ANF says there is overwhelming evidence of a crisis in residential aged care and
has called for the urgent revamping of the Aged Care Act.
The call came after uproar over revelations that residents were subjected to kerosene
baths at the Riverside Nursing Home in Victoria.
The ANF says weekend claims by Aged Care Minister Bronwyn Bishop that the government
