Fed: Hill says objective remains disarmament despite PM's pledge
CANBERRA, Feb 9 AAP - Defence Minister Robert Hill said Australia's objective remainedto disarm Iraq despite the prime minister's pledge to remain in the job until Saddam Husseinwas toppled.
Mr Howard said the situation was so serious his retirement was out of the question.
"People can rest assured that I'm going to see this thing through," he told The Sunday Telegraph.
